Tappeto Door Mat

The Tappeto handcrafted rugs, runners and door mats are carefully designed to add depth, comfort and tonal texture to your interior spaces. Handwoven by skilled artisans using a blend of dyed jute intermingled with cotton threads in complementary colours throughout the warp.

Care information

Jute: Any variations in weave are part of each rug's handmade nature and are not considered a defect.

Rug rotation: To ensure even wear, be sure to rotate your rug once a year. Avoid direct and continuous exposure to sunlight. Do not use the rug directly on carpet as some colour may transfer over time.

Vacuuming: Vacuum your rug using a low powered vacuum cleaner. Should long ends of yarn appear on the surface, do not pull. Use scissors to trim yarn evenly with rug surface.

Cleaning: For surface cleaning, use a sponger, wipe a mixture of dish soap and water lightly over the entire surface of the rug. Remove by wiping again using a clean cloth and water.

Stains: Treat stains immediately. Spot clean with damp cloth only by pressing firmly. Continue to blot the area until the stain is removed. Do not rub. For deeper cleaning, a professional rug cleaning service is recommended.

Due to the unique weave of this product, we recommend using this rug in spaces where furniture will not frequently be dragged across it.
